Trump: White House & 100 Senators Go Over North Korean Options

On Wednesday the White House invited all 100 sitting US Senators for a closed door meeting regarding North Korea. President Trump was expected to make an appearance at the meeting but that was not confirmed. It was mainly with the Secretary of State and top generals to go over the nuclear capabilities of North Korea and possible responses from the US.

This is the latest step towards what may inevitably lead to a military option. Of course, nobody wants it to get to that point as there has been renewed interest in leaning harder on China to enact sanctions against North Korea. China is North Korea’s biggest trade partner accounting for about 85% of their trade. This makes China the best chance the US has to stop Pyongyang’s nuclear program from going any further. Everything in this world revolves around money and last I checked North Korea is living on Earth so putting monetary pressure on them may bring them to the table. At this point, they don’t even want to know where the table is, let alone approach it. One thing is for sure, Kim Jong Un is prepared to bow ish up. He must watch a steady diet of Transformers and Fast and Furious movies. Every other day we see a quote from the state run newspaper that they will destroy the US to ashes. That’s not a good way to get attention in the world. You don’t want to be known as that country that is always threatening to obliterate every nation for any slight.

The meeting with the senators surely went over the military options available to neutralize North Korea and with the US currently holding a heavy presence in South Korea and around the area, it’s truly something that could happen at anytime. The longer the US waits the closer North Korea is to advancing their missiles. Trump has shown a propensity to act quickly and he can always use the fact he tried diplomacy through China before doing anything against North Korea.

Let’s hope that this closed door meeting wasn’t hiding something a little more sinister in the shadows. Trump is hitting his 100 days soon and while he hasn’t gotten much done other than signing way too many executive orders, his recent AP interview and rushed tax proposal shows that he is definitely thinking about that arbitrary line and might rush decisions because of the need to pad his stats.

Donald Trump needs to feed his ego and his ego is telling him to push and get more done to be able to pin a feather in his cap about his first 100 days. Let’s just hope filling in his resume is not more important than keeping America safe. What do you think? War? or Sanctions, which one is is going by Creep.
